3 reviews for Evolve 5-25×56 FFP MOA

I bought this scope and mounted it on my Ruger Precision in 6.5 Creedmoor. The plan was to make a 1000 yd shot consistently. Overall the scope worked well. The clicks on both the windage and elevation turrets were distinct and crisp. However, there was some blurriness at high magnifications and I had to adjust my head/cheek weld to get a proper focus.

Loved this scope until a major limitation was revealed. I had it mounted on a 0 MOA base and had 40 some moa elevation travel (just under 2 revolutions) I didn’t think anything of it because its 90 moa scope. Then I mounted it to a 30 moa base and got no additional elevation travel. I think the zero stop limits the turret rotation to just under 2 revolutions. This is not mentioned anywhere on website or manual. It is a nice scope, great turrets and glass. I think I could take turret cap apart and remove the zero stop to get more travel. No win situation. Just disappointed. If there is a solution or I’m doing wrong I will amend this review.

Amending my previous review. I was able to contact Blackhound. They offered to send me an elevation turret cap. On that cap I can remove the zero stop and get all the travel available. This way I can swap caps, have the zero stop for normal matches or have all travel when I’m looking to do long range shooting. It is a solution that works for me. Thank you Blackhound. This is a fantastic scope. Reticle is very easy to use in the middle of the range as well as both ends. Able to see .22lr in flight, glass is nice. Didn’t use the rings it came with but it’s nice they are included. It also has a kill flash built into sunshade. This scope functions perfectly, turrets are fantastic. It also had a forgiving eye box. Excited for extra turret to arrive. It has impressed everyone who has looked through it or used it.
